CHEESY KIELBASA PACKETS

Cheesy Kielbasa Packets, is an individual sized portioned meal all on it's own. All you need to do is add some fruit, or maybe even dessert! It is Kielbasa Sausage, Corn, Potatoes, and cheesy goodness all wrapped up in a cute little aluminum (mess free - as long as you don't overcook it!) packet. This way you can throw away the mess when you are done baking, No washing!. Plus the individual packets help with portion control! It's easy prep, and ready in less then 30 minutes. Also I have to give credit where credit is due, so this is a recipe I found off of Reynolds Wrap Recipes almost 15 years ago that I tweaked to my liking. I'm not even sure if they still have the recipe on their site, but I will include their website at the bottom also, along with my favorite free recipe site.

Ingredients

Preperation

Before we start please understand that all these ingredients are to preference because they are individual packets. Some can have more meat, or more corn, etc.

  1. Preheat oven to 425 Degrees.
  2. Now, to begin you should start by preparing your sausage. You want to cut it down the middle and then slice it in 1/2 in. to 3/4 in. pieces
  3. Next you want to tear off a piece of aluminum foil a little bit bigger than a standard size piece of printer paper
  4. (Again you can spray this if you like, I do not)
  5. Put a handfull of french fries in the center of the aluminum foil - roughly 9-12 pieces
  6. Add 2 Tbs of Whole Kernel Corn - Drained
  7. Next add a handful of Kielbasa - roughly 6-8 pieces
  8. Finally top with 2 Tbs of Kraft Cheez Whiz
  9. To finish it off you fold your aluminum foil to form a packet. Take up the sides and fold them together and over 2-3 times, then fold the ends in, 2-3 times. You don't want them too tight, but you also don't want the cheese to melt out the ends!
  10. Repeat steps 3-9 until all the ingredients have been used - Makes about 8-10 packets. (I have a family of five and that accounts for one leftover per person.)
  11. Place the finished packets on a cookie sheet just in case there is spillage and bake for 24 to 30 min in a 425 degree already preheated oven - or until cheese is fully melted
  12. Serve individual packets emptied out on paper plates and there is no dishes except for the fork!
  13. (Again remember each packet can be individually catered to each individual's preference - Enjoy!)
